1st Innings:
On a hot humid Summer day🌞 SCCC Team 3 decided to bat 🏏 first after winning Toss πŸͺ™and posted a big total of 247 after the first innings.

Highlights:
Skipper Thulasi 65 second fifty in a row and 5 boundaries were scored in the 25th over.
Venu's calm and composed 51
Usual Engine room of Team3 Satya-31 and Boomi-39* scoring 30’s
And partnerships of 62, 63, and 79 for 2,3 and 4th wickets respectively

ASAP Report (Action Summarised as played):
SCCC Team 3 innings started with Thulasi and Devdatta opening the innings and Dev got bowled out quickly for 0 with the score at 14/1, Inform Satya came in at 3 and after a few nervy moments outside the off stump line got his batting rhythm, both the batsmen played some lovely shots and got the scoreboard moving and against the run of play Satya gloved a harmless down the leg ball and got caught behind with score at 76/2

In came Venu another left-hander much to the pain of opponents London Welsh as fielders have to move after every time the strike got rotated, on a hot day that is the last thing the fielder and bowlers would like to do, Both batsmen play till drinks and score read 104/2 in 20 overs.

Post drink Skipper Thulasi decided to up the scoring rate and was very severe on any loose balls and the harshest treatment was served to a leg spinner in the 25th over with some serious ball striking on the carpet with 5 boundaries scored on the leg side fence despite 2 fielders on the boundary. However, ran himself out the very next over with the score reading 139/3 after 25 overs.

In came Boom Boom Boomi and kept the score ticking in his usual style and Venu at the other end kept pilling misery on for opponents and soon scored his 50 and got out in pursuit of quick slog over runs.

Eventually, SCCC ended up with 247 in their 40 overs, on a two-paced wicket it was a great effort and SCCC knew they got a total to defend.

2nd Innings:
After setting above par 248 target SCCC Team3's all-round bowling display restricted London Welsh to 161/10 in 38.1 overs.

Highlights:
Anil G 3 /33 in his 8 overs and missed a hattrick courtesy of a dropped catch.
Lalit K and Varun V with great opening spells 1/24 in 7 overs and 1/31 in 6 overs (a few edges in the second spell spoiled the figures for Varun)
Sudhir K 2/26 in 6 overs, Boomi A 1/16 in 4 overs and Devdatta J 2/6 in 2.1 overs doing damage in the middle overs. Thiru K 0/23 in 5 overs bowling a tight spell

ASAP Report (Action Summarised as played):
We knew that London Welsh are decent batting team ( with two 200+ scores despite losing both matches), Team3 bowling started with Lalit Swingking and Varun SpeedStar both hitting great lines and length, Varun was unplayable on the wicket with variable bounce. Soon Lalit with a swinging Yorker sent the opponent skipper stumps for a ride and SCCC had their first blood with the score at 3/1, meanwhile, Varun kept hitting Hemanth's glove hard and soon another opener nicked on with the ball flying to 1st slip Devdatta took stunner overhead with the ball almost passing him before he caught up with it and the score read 24/2.

After a good initial spell, it was time for Thiru K and Sudhir K to keep the pressure up after a few initial glitches both got into a good rhythm and Sudhir struck with batsmen nicking one to the keeper and the score read 81/3 after 19 overs and drinks have been taken.
While the game was under the firm control of SCCC but they knew all too well that they can’t afford to be complacent with opponents
batting deep.

It was time for some Spin and Anil G replacing Thiru from one end and he quickly got into his usual one-step bowling rhythm and got a breakthrough with an inspired fielding change at short midwicket Thiru caught one score reading 84/4. At the other end, Sudhir K kept beating the batters at regular intervals and got his second prize for the day LBW and the score read 96/5.

A Hattrick of chances was generated by Anil G and only 2 were caught by Venu and Thiru and this meant the opponents' chase derailed properly as the score read 107/7.
Time for the cleanup job and Boomi was brought into the attack he quickly got the next wicket and made the score read 108/8, for the 9th wicket London Welsh managed to string a partnership of 36 runs with their best batter at 6 scoring 41, while Anil finishing his spell on a match winning 3/33 in his 8 overs.

Time for a rehash and another throw of dice meant Devdatta was called to bowl and quickly rearranged their top scorer stumps back in his first over with the score at 144/9 and Varun V was brought back to finish things at the other end opponent batter chanced their arms with nothing to lose and got few edges for 4’s and Dev eventually got the final blow another LBW and London Welsh ended on 161/10 in 38.1 overs.

Game Set and Match SCCC.

Lowlights and Improvements:
While general Fielding was much better than last game still some room to improve with 1 catch dropped and a few misfields in the outfield.

Game Theme: Bat well, Bat long, Bat in partnerships and the Score is going to be BIG
