100% win rate - a rare feat
On many occasions in the last few years, it appeared that the club would be able to reach the perfect win percentage, however it was not meant to be.
2022 came as the landmark year, where second XI achieved this feat with a roar. This came at a time when club was going through a phenomenal transformation. Entrant to a new league, change in club management, struggle with ground staff made odds heavily weigh against.
With a strong start, the advent of new champion was announced in style. Season started by the team posing an emphatic win over the season's eventual runners up. Choosing to bowl first, the opposition were all out at 48 in just 17 overs. Team chased this up in under 5 overs, which sent a strong message across the league.
The relentless victory march continued and stories were similar, either - bundling the opposition for a paltry score or posing a high total (as high as 278) while batting first. Both paths converged to victory. Here is the link where team scored 278
2022 had a perfect ending, champagne were opened on field to celebrate the success and welcome the new challenges that div2 poses in the year 2023.
